Five Students from the Hertie School of Governance competing in the 2018 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition

Welcome to your blog post. We are a team of five students from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin that compete in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in 2018.

We want to keep you informed with this blog about our progress in the international competition in Washington D.C.

Because of anonymity rules, we will not publish our names here, but we are students from Germany, Poland, USA, Canada and South Africa that study in the second year of the Master of Public Policy Program at the Hertie School.

We all have taken the Law & Governance Class with Prof. Thielbörger and Prof. Dawson and decided that we would like to join the Moot Court Team after that class. From September 2017 we have met several times a week and worked on the case. We had to turn in two memorials, one for the Applicant and one for the Respondent. From January 2018 on we have worked on our oral pleadings before going to Kiel at the end of February to compete in the German National round.

Already at this point we would like to tell you, that there will be a team next year, too! So if you are interested, get in contact with us!
